{BASIC RULES}

o1. Please, no profanity or sexual terms on the site. edit;; If you must curse, please keep it to the minimum. But keep in mind that this site is rated PG-13 for violance only.
o2. All staff members are to be shown your respect, as well as other members.
o3. Obey every single one of the staff members, but always feel free to PM the main administrator if you feel one or more of the staff members is treating you unfairly.
o4. Respect the property of other members and the site itself. Do not steal anything.
o5. Remember, staying active in the general OOC boards as well as the roleplaying boards makes you more of a well-known member of the site.
o6. Obey the rules, of course. Failure to do so will result in a banning or suspension from the site.
o7. Please make a separate account for each of your characters. It is also preferred that you make an OOC account as well for just general chat, but it is not required.
o8. All signatures on character accounts are preferred to be 500x200 px. Signatures MUST NOT exceed the size of 500x300.

{IC/ROLEPLAYING RULES}

o1. Please, only one thread per character at a time. A dog cannot be in more than one place at once.
o2. Use regular words. This means roleplaying lingo is not allowed. If you are an experienced writer, you shouldn't need fancy words to make your writing seem advanced.
o3. Posts under 100 words will be deleted. However, please try to post around 250+ words in most of your posts. I want this site to appeal to more intermediate/advanced roleplayers.
o4. No wolves or feral/wild dogs of any kind. This is a city roleplay, meaning most of the characters are either mutts or pets.
o5. In your joining form, to be accepted put 'paw' behind your character's name to confirm that you have read the rules.
o6. No powerplaying or godmoding.
o7. Fill out the proper form for your character in the joining area. Please do not change the names or order of the sections to make it look fancier, as this sometimes confuses other members.

{HOUSE PET RULES}
o1. A 'house pet' must live in a house, of course, or some kind of living area/shelter owned by a human.
02. To get a sub-board in one of the House Pet Territories or in other words make a house/apartment, please PM one of the admins and we will make you one. In your PM, if you wish to live in Rosebud Neighborhood, send in the PM the last name of your character's owner so we can name the house correctly. The apartments are nameless and numbered. Note: Only 'Royals' live in Rosebud Neighborhood.
o3. You play the owner of your dog, and all people living in the house/apartment, however, humans are not considered official characters and may not be played unless needed. For this reason, they do not require a profile.

{STREET DOG RULES}
o1. Street dogs usually join a gang to help eachother survive, but on rare occasions a stray will live on his/her own. However, these lone strays are usually eventually killed off by a gang.
o2. To make a gang in an unclaimed territory, PM an admin with a sample post of at least 400 words describing your character leading the desired gang. They will then decide to accept/decline your request. If accepted, your character will become leader of that gang unless you request otherwise.
o3. To join a gang is simple. Your character must run into a gang leader and ask to join, though, and the acceptance must be roleplayed out.
o4. Normally, strays and gangs will not venture to the House Pet Territories. However, on rare occasions, they will go there to start fights with some of the house dogs. This puts them at a high risk of being caught and put in the pound, though.
o5. All street dog characters start out as strays.

{FIGHTING}
o1. Characters can fight over countless things including gangs, mates, gang members, territories, dominance, arguments and grudges. The possibilities are endless, however, ranks cannot be fought for unless the challenge is discussed by the staff. If you would like a higher ran and it is already filled, PM an admin and they will discuss it with the rest of staff and see if we think it's alright for you to challenge another character for the rank.
o2. Major fights will be judged by the entire staff team, and we will take a vote on who won. Minor fights between minor characters will be judged by a single administrator. If you feel the judging was unfair, on request you may have the entire staff take a vote.
o3. If a fight has started between characters, please PM an administrator with a link to the thread so they can recognize it and judge.
o4. Other fighting rules will be stated in threads that fights have started in.

{BREEDING}
o1. Please, no graphic breeding. If you want your character to breed with another, PM the player of that other character and then if they agree, PM a staff member and they will send you the stats of the puppies.
o2. Puppies may be played by anyone. You may PM players you think would be willing play them for you.
o3. Most puppies of street dogs have a low survival rate and often have problems, while almost all house pet puppies will survive and grow up to be healthy.
o4. Forcebreeding may occur, meaning the mother will probably reject her puppies. You may roleplay this out, but leave out all the graphic bits. So, you may roleplay the courtship and mating up to the breeding, and then you could insert something like '*breeding here*' instead of the graphic bits then continue roleplaying after the breeding is over.
