Royals - This rank is reserved for the purebred pooches that live in all the more upperclass homes of Magnolia City. These intelligent dogs speak with fancy, well-pronounced words and always have their head held high as if they are dominant over all other dogs. Despite their intelligence, they all have quite a bit of arrogance as well, which often gets them into trouble with street dogs seeing as their fighting skills usually aren't so great. They are well-known within the dog community, both street and house dogs. They are highly respected by their fellow house pets, though all true street dogs are absolutely disgusted by them.

Pets - The regular house pets belong to this rank. These pets usually live in the apartment buildings and some in the smaller houses of the Rosebud Neighborhood. Though they're fighting skills are slightly better than those of a Royal, they're usually lacking a little bit in intelligence.

{STREET DOG RANKS}

Alphas/Alphaesses - Usually the strongest dogs on the street, these dogs are at the top of the food chain. There are two in each gang, and only six - three of each gender - in Magnolia City. The males are usually built strong and have an intimidating look to them, and the females are often considered the most attractive and desirable out of all the street dogs for their intelligence, power, and (usually) outer beauty. They are usually the best fighters out of all of the street dogs, and their intelligence just about matches that of the Royals, though it is usually hidden behind the way they talk. They talk like any other street dog, never really making an effort to pronouce words right and not really caring much about grammar. These dogs are often feared and at the same time respected by the lower ranked. Most house pets are disgusted by them, though. Please also note that the Alpha and Alphaess are normally a mated pair. However, one does not become Alpha/Alphaess and then pick a mate to become the other 'top dog'. This rank is acquired only through working their way up the hierarchy and becoming known as one of the most dominant dogs around. And it acquired alone, meaning no other is taken up in ranking with them. So, in some cases, the Alpha and Alphaess may not be a mated pair. However, they are almost always fairly close and work well together even if they are not mates. After all, if the dominant pair despise eachother, it could be very bad for the gang behind them.

Gang Dogs - These dogs are second in the food chain. Usually brutal fighters, they're fighting ability is only second to that of the Alpha/Alphaesses. They're intelligence is about that of a regular house pet, though. Tough they are rarely respected by anyone but eachother, they often fight for dominance and respect over other dogs.

Strays - The underdogs, one might say. These dogs are those that have no yet found a gang to join or have decided to live on their own. Their fighting skills are usually fairly decent, but far outmatched by the other street dogs, and they will usually be killed in a fight unless they have a size advantage. They are not respected by anyone, really, unless they've made themselves known.
